""Drachenhaus"" by Michaela Maresch, ,

COMMOD HOUSE NG "Drachenhaus" is an ecological modular house in timber frame construction.

The owners wanted to create a living space for their family of 4 that sealed as little floor space as possible and still offered ample space. All materials used can be recycled or deconstructed according to the cradle-to-cradle principle and thus make a positive contribution to environmental protection and conservation of resources.

"Drachenhaus" displays an elegant, anthracite shell that was homogeneously drawn through from the asymmetrical gable roof over the façade, only partially interrupted by larch elements. A balcony and a loggia provide breathtaking views of the extensive mountain landscape of the surrounding area. By using the space horizontally with the hidden storage room under the stairs and vertically with the extension of the gable area as a sleeping and climbing paradise, a special living space with peaceful retreats was created on only 40m² of floor space.
