"La Jolla Shores Lifeguard Tower" by Brian Doll, ,

Developed through a joint community design process led by RNT architects, the La Jolla Shores Lifeguard Station respects, frames and enhances ocean views as it provides strategic points to observe and guard the public. Located 12 miles north of downtown San Diego in the beautiful coastal community of La Jolla, I photographed this scene over a period of 2 hours. With my camera on a tripod, I was able to blend different moments in time to show typical scenes surrounding this piece of architecture.
