The photo shows a performer flying in a vertical wind tunnel.
It is part of the architectural photo serie I did in 2016 for Latvian "Mailitis Architects" designed "Shaolin Flying Monks Theatre" in Dengfeng city, Henan Province, China.
Main function of the "Shaolin Flying Monks Theatre" is the vertical wind tunnel sports and entertainment.
The challenge behind this photo lies in the fact that the performer was available for a very limited time, around 30 minutes and just 2-3 take-offs. It meant I had only 1 option to choose the location I was going to make the very essential photo of the building. Instead of a close up or front view I risked and went for a rear view from a distance revealing part of the tunnel and emphasizing the elegance of architectural shape with Songshan Mountain in the background.
