"Gentle Giant" by Anna Brodersen, ,
This dynamic of social contrasts exposes a truth to this piece of space in the city. The world class Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, is but a backdrop to a persevering man and his kiosk, trying to grasp the attention of the people passing by wishing to escape the rain. Because what is seen typically from this building is its iconic massing, or sweeping lines. And, here we experience the humbler, more human edge. As the Guggenheim sits back, content, gentle, coexisting with the daily life continuing at its side.
